Purchase, Installation and Registration Questions

I’ve got my licence but it doens’t seem to work – help!

There are a few reasons why this can happen.

1) Check that you’re typing in the code correctly. It will be in one of the following formats (where X can be a number or letter):
For home licences: BINGO-XXXX-XXXX-XX
For commercial licences: BINGOC-XXXX-XXXX-XX

2) You have already used this code on another computer, or you’re trying to re-install a manual (offline/no-internet) based licence.

Don’t worry – if you can’t get it to work, just contact us and we’ll generate you a new licence and get you up and running!

Do you accept orders from the US/Australia/India/*insert your country here*?

Yes, we do! Plus we accept payment in most major currencies, via PayPal.
When paying with PayPal, they should also show you the conversion rate to your PayPal accounts default currency.

If you need more information, please pop us an email!

How soon will I get my licence key after purchasing the software

If you purchase our software online using PayPal then you should receive an email from our software delivery partner, SoftSeller, within a few minutes. However, internet delays and email issues can result in this taking up to 24 hours at peak periods. If you’re worried that your licence key hasn’t arrived, please first check your ‘Spam’ or ‘Junk Email’ folder as they can sometimes get trapped here.

If you can’t find it, please drop us an email and we’ll re-send the code directly to you.

How much space does Bingo Caller require on my hard disk?

Bingo Caller is a very small installation, and typically requires less than 5MB of hard disk space, including the system files it needs.

Can I install the program on more than 1 machine?

No. When you purchase a Bingo Caller license you are purchasing it for a set machine. If you wish to run Bingo Caller on more than one machine you must buy another license.

The software licencing mechanism we use, called CopyMinder, will allow you to transfer your licence to another computer as long as you stop using it on the other machine. For more details, see the FAQ further down the page.

Bingo Caller keeps asking for an internet connection – but I want to use it offline, how do I do this?

If you’re installing Bingo Caller for the first time, you’ll be prompted to connect to the internet when entering your licence key. At this point, you can press the ‘Manual Activation’ button which will convert your Bingo Caller licence to an offline version – meaning that you won’t need your computer to have internet access when running Bingo Caller.

If you’ve already installed Bingo Caller, you will need to email us and we can convert your licence to a manual version.

How do I transfer Bingo Caller to another computer?

If you’ve already installed Bingo Caller onto a computer, you can move it to another machine provided you stop running it on the first computer. The online activation system will recognise which computer you’re using, and if it detects usage on too many machines at the same time then it will lock out your licence.

To ensure that this doesn’t happen, we recommend you follow this process:

  1. Uninstall Bingo Caller from your ‘old’ computer
  2. Download the latest copy from our download page
  3. Install this version on your new computer
  4. Activate this version with the licence key you received when you purchased Bingo Caller (if you’ve lost this, just contact us and we’ll send it back to you)

If your ‘old’ PC is broken, don’t worry – just install it on your new computer and it should work fine as it won’t detect any usage from your old PC.

Program Use Questions

How do I make the speech functions work?

For speech to work, you need to have Microsoft’s Speech API (SAPI) Version 5 installed on your machine. This is installed as standard on Windows XP, but is not installed as standard on Windows 98/Me/2000.
To install SAPI, please download one of these files:
SAPI Install for Windows 98/Me/2000 – 6.2MB
SAPI Install for Windows XP – 3.5MB
